What information does the British Orthodox Church website collect about me?

While the website doesn’t use any of the information we gather to sell or redistribute to third parties for marketing purposes, we may use information gathered to send you related information, newsletters or grant you access to certain privileges within the website. These will be strictly British Orthodox Church related, unless otherwise stated.

We collect information via these means

  • Fellowship sign up form
  • Fellowship forum registration
  • Contacting us via the form or emailing directly
  • Website statistics

The information from the Fellowship sign up form is used to build a mailing list for future information regarding the church.

Information gathered by the fellowship forum is stored in a online database for the sole use of access to the forums functions. We will not use this information or the information you add after registration for any other means other than Fellowship Forum related. Posts, replies and attachments you make on this public forum are done at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any damage that may come from using this service. It is advisable never to post personal information online via the forum.

The contact form on this website will send an email to the website administrator. No information is stored online, your message will be treated as an email and may or may not be stored for future reference or correspondence.

We may collect the following information:

  • name, usernames and password (for fellowship login)
  • contact information including email address, telephone number
  • demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
  • marital status, age, church background
