New Syrian Orthodox Bishop in UK
On 3 December 2006 His Holiness Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, Syrian Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch, will consecrate Father Toma Dawod Dakama as Archbishop and Patriarchal Vicar of the Syrian Orthodox Churtch in the UK. The ceremony will take place at Ma'arrat Seydnaya in Damascus.

However, the new Archbishop will be enthroned in a service at St. Dunstan & St. Thomas' Church, Friars Place Lane, Acton, W3 7AW at 1.00 p.m. on Sunday, 10 December. Abba Seraphim and clergy of the British Orthodox Church will be attending this important occasion.

Fr. Toma, who lives in Croydon, has been serving the Syrian Orthodox community in London for the past nine years.
