Historical Christianity and modern ignorance
Recently, whilst reading on the beautiful history of the Church, I have been wondering why so many Christians have no interest in knowing about the Early Church, or History of Christianity in general. This honestly baffles me.

As someone with a vast interest in history, I see no reason anyone would want to be a Christian and (in some cases) would actively pursue ignorance as to the origins of his or her faith.

I became interested in Orthodoxy through studying Christian and Early Church History, which eventually led me to join the Church, and I do not understand why there are so many Christians that have zero interest in studying their faith deeper. It really stumps me.

Does anyone have any idea on this? Are many modern Christians really finding bliss in some form of ignorance?
