I once made the mistake of wishing a good Anglican friend (she was my tutor when I studied for my degree) a merry Christmas and a happy new year to which she promptly pointed out that her new year had been a month before (beginning of Advent) and mine was three or four months ago! So remembering that lesson I shall content myself with wishing you all a wonderful celebration of the Birthday of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Enjoy it - all twelve days of it!
