For new members of the forum - John Charmley - 01-05-2008 09:12 PM Here's one for the older hands - but also for the new ones! What advice would you give to those who are going to a BOC service for the first time? What questions do those of you thinking of going to a service have in advance? My own answer to the first question would be to let the priest know you are coming; to watch out for the standing and not to worry about sitting down if you tire; for women, to take a head-covering; not to take offence at our practice of closed communion, it isn't aimed at you personally; stay for the blessed bread of fellowship - and the fellowship that follows. Any other thoughts?? In Christ, John |
