The Right to Life
I felt very moved this afternoon when encountering a street stall manned by volunteers connected with the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) in Dover town centre. I have read His Holiness Pope Shenouda III's condemnation of the outrageous crime of abortion, and felt heartened.
It was so easy to see the Face of Christ in those caring, wonderful people standing at the table in the pouring rain trying to get signatures for their petition. 2007 marks the 40th anniversary of the British law change that marked in effect the freedom of choice to kill unborn children. More than 6 million babies have been killed since 1967.
