Dear Rick,
It would be good to have some input here from those with more knowledge. My Roman Catholic friends are fond of pointing out to me that where they have developed the notion of a celibate clergy, we have a half way house. It would be confrontational to point out that the Eastern Catholic Churches have married clergy. The Anglicans, of course, go the whole hog the other way - allowing both married priests and bishops. In Christ, John In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10) |
