RE: SHRINES
Shrines that old tended to be obliterated by Protestant wrecking. However two old shrines are St Winifred,s well in Flintshire , North Wales accessible by bus between Chester and Rhyl, and the shrine of St Melengell, Tanat valley towards the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. St Melengell pronouced something like Melangeth is one of the most holy places in Britain. It is difficult to get to, and is situated in a very quiet valley. The best approach is to a nearby settlement and then walk the last mile or two. Cerys
