Dear Kirk,
Many thanks. I can see where the idea came from, and could do so more if I had read Aquinas recently (as opposed to twenty years ago), but still find it at odds with the early Fathers and their scriptural commentaries. The point about time is a fascinating and highly pertinent one. In Christ, John In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
