Dear Daniel,
Thanks for this - it was rather fun, and more relevant than one might have first thought with regard to our discussion here. Of course, the very word 'British' is not susceptible of close definition, and I wonder how many of us would identify with it if asked? What it does signify, however, is a break from the usual prefixes, and to that extent it is immensely useful, and I, for one, am very grateful it exists.
