Read an interesting 'crime' story. Michael Pearce wrote a series about the Mamur Zapt - the political police in Egypt when British influence was at its highest. 'Mamur Zapt and the Night of the Dog' is about dodgey Copts and Muslims!

Bit light on the theological side, but gives an interesting insight into Cairo at the time.

Also finished reading the Yacoubian Building by Alaa al Aswany - again, gives an interesting view on life in Cairo.
