RE: Favourite reading matter
One other interesting book I am currently battling my way through is 'The forbidden Image: An intellectal History of Iconoclasm' by Alain Besancon.
It looks at the history of Iconophilia and Iconoclasm throughout religious history, from the biblical right up to 20th Century Russia. It is very Scholarly written but once you are past that it is pretty engrossing. "The true Christian is a warrior making his way through the regiments of the invisible enemy to his heavenly homeland." - St Herman of Alaska. |
