This seems just another stage in the Egyptian state's campaign against the Coptic Church. If the two Coptic men in question are granted a divorce by a civil court and re-marry, then obviously that marriage will not be recognized by the Church, leading to their inability to receive the Holy Sacraments. This would, perhaps, lead to further decisions by the court to demand that the Church commune them...
Be prepared for a further onslaught against the Church. Let us now prepare an internatinal campaign to make the Egyptian state think twice. Kirk Yacoub |
