I too met Abba Marcos in Egypt, on my first visit there. I remember him as a warm and gentle man; I am sure a man of deep prayer and a true man of God. He talked to me at some length and impressed on me the conviction that the Christian faith was about love or it was nothing. I will never forget it. He will be sadly missed by his people, by the wider Coptic Orthodox community and by all who had the privilege to meet him.
